Materials: Compass and blindfold. Directions: Campers form a circle with individual campers sitting in the various positions found on a compass. The group selects one camper to put on the blindfold. He or she then sits in the middle of the circle and faces north. The campers in the positions of the compass (e.g., N, S, NE, SW) clap when indicated by the group leader, with the camper in the middle having to guess what direction the clap comes from. Each camper in the group can take a turn being in the middle and/or the group leader. |

Materials: Compass, blindfold and objects (e.g., rocks, logs, etc.) to use as obstacles. Directions: Campers seated in a wheelchair are paired with a camper whose role is to be the pusher.¯ The pusher¯ is blindfolded and stands behind the wheelchair. The game should be played in a big area or field that is scattered with logs and other obstacles. One end of the area should be designated a home base with participants starting at the opposite end. By giving compass directions the camper in the wheelchair has to guide the pusher¯ around the obstacles and safely to the home base. |
